Myongji Hospital Brain Tissue Bank Signs Agreement with Gyeonggi Provincial Dementia Center to Promote Dementia Education and Research

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Myongji Hospital Brain Tissue Bank announced on the 22nd that it has signed an agreement with the Gyeonggi-do Regional Dementia Center to cooperate in recruiting brain donors and promoting dementia education and research.
According to the agreement, both institutions will join forces in dementia-related education and research by ▲promoting the Myongji Hospital Brain Tissue Bank ▲strengthening brain donor recruitment ▲activating dementia education and research projects through securing brain tissue.
Designated last year as the fourth brain tissue bank (dementia brain bank) in Korea, Myongji Hospital has built a dementia research infrastructure through securing dementia brain tissue and registering brain donors, and has continued systematic dementia research.
Through the agreement with the Gyeonggi-do Regional Dementia Center, which is responsible for dementia management in Gyeonggi-do, it is expected that the role and scope will expand, and brain donor recruitment and related research will gain momentum.
