[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Actor Lee Jung-jae (50), who won the Best Actor award at the American Emmy Awards, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
On the 20th, his agency Artist Company stated, "He tested positive for COVID-19 in a PCR test conducted after returning to Korea," and added, "He has currently suspended all schedules and is self-isolating according to the guidelines of the health authorities."
Earlier, Lee Jung-jae departed for the United States on the 8th to attend the Emmy Awards ceremony. After moving to the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada to promote the film Hunt, he returned to Korea on the 18th.
