[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] CJ CheilJedang announced on the 20th that its premium deli meat specialty brand 'Yukgongyuk (六工肉)' is gaining popularity with its differentiated taste and quality.
The Yukgongyuk Double Aging Frank has surpassed 1 million units in cumulative sales over four months since its launch at the end of May. The average monthly sales reached 2 billion KRW (based on consumer price). Yukgongyuk is offered in four types: Frank, Kielbasa, Long Frank, and Vienna. While preserving the authenticity of handcrafted ham experienced overseas or in dining out, it incorporates flavors and tastes preferred by Koreans.
The signature products, Frank and horseshoe-shaped Kielbasa, are designed to match the growing culture of enjoying brunch or barbecue. They are ideal for home barbecues, main dishes, as well as grilled or appetizer dishes during camping. Long Frank and Vienna reflect the increasing demand for simple meals such as brunches, picnics, salads, and long hot dogs. All four types can be cooked in various ways including pan-frying, water frying, and air frying, enhancing convenience.

In particular, Yukgongyuk’s unique taste and quality are supported by CJ’s differentiated technology accumulated over more than 40 years. Compared to existing products, it undergoes low-temperature aging for more than twice as long (12 to 48 hours) and is then dried once more with hot air, maximizing rich meat juice and a popping texture. The raw materials are coarsely cut instead of ground, and flavor is further enhanced using a constant temperature aging room. Seasoning is independently developed by a professional meister to ensure differentiation. In the case of Kielbasa, pork belly and beef, which are not used in conventional ham, are blended.
