In particular, President Hamran expressed special interest in cooperation between EUROJUST and South Korea, and reportedly conveyed his intention to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with South Korea’s Ministry of Justice and prosecution authorities.
The IAP and EUROJUST shared the recognition of the need for joint responses by both organizations to crimes against humanity such as war crimes, and agreed to work together to ensure that prosecution agencies worldwide actively cooperate with related international cooperation requests through universal jurisdiction.
EUROJUST President Hamran is scheduled to attend the 27th IAP Annual Conference held in Georgia at the end of September, where he will deliver a keynote speech on responses to war crimes.
