View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] SK Telecom announced on the 8th that it will launch the shared plan service "My Two Number" for customers using dual SIM smartphones, in line with the eSIM (Embedded SIM) usage environment introduced this month.
"My Two Number" is a service that offers ▲ voice main line sharing ▲ basic text messages ▲ data 250MB + main line sharing (up to 400kbps after depletion) for a monthly fee of 8,800 KRW.
To subscribe to "My Two Number," customers must have a dual SIM smartphone using SKT 5G·LTE plans. By subscribing to the "My Two Number" plan as the second line on this smartphone, users can share the voice and data allowances of their current plan.
For example, a customer using the SKT 5GX Prime plan on a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 can use the 5GX Prime plan’s unlimited home phone and mobile calls and shared 30GB data on the eSIM number by subscribing to "My Two Number" on the same device’s eSIM.
SKT has noted that with eSIM activation becoming available from September, there will be demand from customers who want to use two numbers on one smartphone.
In particular, the "My Two Number" plan is expected to be a good option for customers who want to use their existing number for personal use and a second number for work or for situations where exposing their personal number is burdensome, such as delivery, courier, or parking services.
From today, subscriptions are available through SKT official agencies, branches, and customer centers. From the end of September, customers will be able to subscribe directly through SKT’s official online mall, T Direct Shop.
