Former Japanese Prime Minister Abe's State Funeral, Prime Minister Han Deok-su Expected to Attend
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo is scheduled to visit the state funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, which will be held on the 27th of this month.
According to major foreign media on the 7th, the number of foreign heads of state attending the state funeral is expected to be around 50. The South Korean government is reportedly planning to send a condolence delegation led by Prime Minister Han Duck-soo. Former U.S. President Barack Obama and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel are also considering attending.

Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno announced that in addition to the 250 million yen approved from this year's contingency budget for the state funeral of former Prime Minister Abe, an additional 1.4 billion yen has been allocated, bringing the total to 1.66 billion yen (approximately 16.183 billion KRW). The 1.4 billion yen includes 600 million yen for hospitality expenses for foreign condolence delegations. Foreign media reported that controversy within Japan is intensifying over the fact that the entire cost of former Prime Minister Abe's state funeral is being covered by the national treasury.
