[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Gyeongsang National University Startup Support Group and the LINC 3.0 Project Group, in collaboration with Hana Financial Group and Underdogseo, are conducting entrepreneurship education through the ‘Hana Social Venture University’ program, which aims to solve youth employment issues and revitalize the local economy, until the end of October.

The Hana Social Venture University program was established by Hana Financial Group in partnership with national flagship universities to contribute to local job creation by fostering young entrepreneurs, carrying out projects related to regional issues, and strengthening youth employment capabilities amid the decline in local population due to youth outmigration.

A total of 10 universities nationwide were selected for this program, with Gyeongsang National University and Daegu University participating in the Gyeongsang region. Entrepreneurship education will be provided to 550 selected young people until the end of October, with Gyeongsang National University nurturing 68 prospective entrepreneurs.

For young prospective entrepreneurs, various professional facilitators from multiple fields are invited to provide specialized entrepreneurship education and customized consulting, including concretizing startup ideas and preparing business plans to solve problems arising during the startup process. Trainees who meet certain completion criteria will also receive an educational support fund of 1 million KRW.

Jung Jae-woo, head of the Startup Support Group, said, “Through this education, we will provide various entrepreneurial opportunities for local youth who will lead new innovations and strive to enable these young people to solve regional problems and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”
