Jeonja Land reported that dehumidifier sales last month increased by 90% compared to the same period last year. After sales of dehumidifiers from January to August 2020 rose by 84% compared to the previous year, sales have remained steady at similar levels last year and this year without decline.
Dehumidifiers were previously appliances purchased only when humidity became a problem, but during the COVID-19 era, they have become essential appliances for households to maintain a comfortable indoor environment, with at least one unit in each home.

A Jeonja Land official stated, “Although dehumidifier sales typically concentrate in the summer due to the nature of the product, since 2020, sales have also been steady during spring and autumn. We expect that appliances sensitive to climate changes, such as dehumidifiers and food waste processors, will increasingly become essential appliances for maintaining a comfortable environment in the future.”
