View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Juri] Due to the impact of Typhoon Hinnamnor, heavy rain has poured down in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, causing a series of damages including casualties.
According to Pohang City on the 6th, around 9 a.m. that day, the underground parking lot of an apartment in Indeok-dong was flooded, and residents who tried to move their vehicles entered the parking lot.
However, seven people went missing due to the sudden influx of rainwater, and the fire department, upon receiving the report, dispatched teams to conduct search operations.
Earlier, around 7 a.m., an unidentified man requested rescue, and firefighters arrived at the scene but lost contact.
The firefighters searched the surrounding area but could not find the missing person.
News of a death was also reported. Around 7:57 a.m. that day, a woman in her 70s was swept away by a rapid current on a road in Ocheon-eup, Nam-gu, and was found dead nearby about an hour later.
It is known that the woman was evacuating to a shelter with her daughter and husband at the time.

According to POSCO, around 7:17 a.m. that day, a fire broke out in the Stainless Steel (STS) 2 Steelmaking and 2 Hot Rolling plants within POSCO Pohang Steelworks in Nam-gu, Pohang City.
The Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters stated that the fire started in the main electrical room of the 2 Hot Rolling plant, and one entire electrical room building was burned down.
The company is focusing on extinguishing the fire while investigating whether the typhoon and the fire are related.
