County Governor Jin Byeong-yeong is conducting an emergency on-site inspection of the typhoon-affected area.

According to the county, Hamyang-gun entered the typhoon's influence zone from the 5th to the night of the 6th, experiencing an average rainfall of 175mm and strong winds with a maximum speed of 20.3m/s by 8 a.m., but fortunately, no major damage occurred.
Heavy rainfall was recorded in areas near Jirisan, including 300mm in Macheon-myeon, 239mm in Hyucheon-myeon, and 272mm in Yurim-myeon, causing some damage such as road slope erosion, debris flow, and fallen trees.
Accordingly, Mayor Jin toured the affected towns and townships early in the morning on the 6th, after the typhoon had passed the direct influence zone, to assess the damage status and instructed active responses such as safety measures.

Mayor Jin said, “Fortunately, the typhoon damage is not severe, but please conduct thorough damage investigations and do your best in recovery efforts,” and added, “We also ask all residents to refrain from going out as much as possible and to actively cooperate to prevent secondary damage.”
