"Khan Lions Seoul × SDGs Forum Held for Strategies Toward Sustainable Growth"
Kan Lions Korea announced on the 6th that it will hold the 'Kan Lions Seoul×SDGs Forum' from the 21st to the 23rd of this month at Lotte Hotel Seoul in Jung-gu and Cinecube in Jongno-gu, Seoul, sharing global brand strategies for sustainable growth.
The Kan Lions Seoul Festival first introduced a Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) session in Korea in 2019. After presenting online for two years due to COVID-19, it will hold an offline event this year.
This year, large-scale projects by global companies toward the SDGs will be introduced. On the 21st, the keynote speaker is Johan Phil, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Doconomy, a Swedish impact tech company that created the world's first carbon calculator. He will share global insights related to carbon neutrality. Kim Sang-hyup, a private member of the Presidential Committee on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth, will present the government's carbon neutrality implementation plan and vision for promoting green growth.
Doconomy, a social venture that developed the world's first tactile and braille smartwatches and smartpads for the visually impaired, will also take the stage. Choi Areum, head of social impact, and Kang Ji-hyun, CEO of Serviceplan Korea, which handles Doconomy's global communications, will present Doconomy's activities and vision. Kim Jong-pil, head of LG Chem’s Sustainability Strategy Team, will introduce LG Chem's creative strategy for its sustainable recycling business, which challenges a 100% plastic reuse rate. Cho Hyun-soo, director of the Green Transition Policy Division at the Ministry of Environment, will review the current status and future of SDGs in Korea.
On the 22nd, insights on changes and new challenges faced by the creative industry centered on tech, data & innovation will be shared. Kim Nak-hoe, chairman of the Korea Federation of Advertising Associations, will open with a congratulatory speech, and Han Chang-hee, director at Deloitte, will lecture on the rapidly changing media environment and business transformation. Lee Ho-jun, team leader at Innocean, and Kim Jin-sung, team leader at Cheil Worldwide, will discuss metaverse solutions. Representing the gaming industry, Shin Seok-jin, creative head at Krafton, will participate. KT will showcase the OTT success story of channel ENA, focusing on popular dramas such as 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' and 'Shinbyeong.'
On the 23rd, Nam Woo-ri, CD of Studio Joe, Park Hyun-woo, CEO of InnoRed, and Bang Jong-hwan, general manager of Twitch Korea, will present on business transformation and creative effectiveness.
