Hana Bank Expands and Revamps 'Aibuja' App Service
Expansion of Service Eligibility, Addition of Dutch Pay Feature, and New Items Introduced
Contributing to the Formation of Self-Directed Financial Habits as Children Voluntarily Plan and Use Their Allowance
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] Hana Bank announced on the 5th that it has newly expanded and revamped the 'Ibuja' application (app) service, an experiential financial platform for elementary and middle school students.
First, the target users of the service were expanded. Previously, it was used only by parent-child pairs, but with this revamp, relatives and friends can also use the service together. The 'Gather Together' feature was enhanced to allow children to set goals and amounts with family, relatives, or friends and save money together, and a 'Dutch Pay' feature was added, enabling Ibuja members to split a specific amount equally.
In particular, through this revamp, Hana Bank added functions that allow children to proactively make plans and develop proper financial habits. Through the 'Planning' feature, children can set their own allowance usage plans over a set period and request allowance from their parents.
Also, with the 'My Wallet' feature, children can check their allowance usage details themselves and leave allowance records using fun icons and memos. By adding the 'Activity Report' feature, weekly and monthly deposit and withdrawal details and major usage information are provided to enable efficient allowance management.
New fun elements are also provided to children through content such as quizzes. They can solve quizzes on various topics daily, including finance, four-character idioms, nonsense, and proverbs, and receive small rewards. A new item called 'Zu' was also introduced for participating in quizzes and events. Zu is an item that children can earn through Ibuja activities, and children can collect Zu daily through various activities such as 'Gather Alone' and 'Sponsoring.' By using the Zu they have accumulated, they can participate in quizzes and other events to receive rewards (allowance), naturally helping them understand the principles of economic activities.
Additionally, cash deposits and withdrawals with the 'Ibuja Card' are now possible without fees at all bank ATMs nationwide. The Ibuja app allows users to check the delivery status of the Ibuja Card and the balance of the transportation card, making it more convenient for children to use the Ibuja app in their daily lives.
