'2022 Korea Electrical Safety Awards' Held
Park Ji-hyun, President of Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, is delivering a greeting at the '2022 Korea Electrical Safety Awards' event held on the 2nd at the Fairmont Ambassador Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul.
View original imagePark Ji-hyun, President of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation (photo), stated, "We will establish a comprehensive energy safety management infrastructure through the development of an open electrical safety integrated information system and the establishment of an Energy Storage System (ESS) Safety Evaluation Center."
At the ‘2022 Korea Electrical Safety Awards’ event held on the 2nd at the Fairmont Ambassador Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, President Park said, "The establishment of a feasible and rational energy mix strategy, along with the advancement of the electrical safety management system, is an urgent task that cannot be delayed in this era."
She added, "We will also accelerate the digital transformation of the safety management system by reorganizing the analog inspection method, which is mainly face-to-face, into a non-face-to-face continuous inspection system, and by developing inspection technology using online status monitoring devices through cooperation with private companies in the medium and high voltage electrical sector."
The event was attended by more than 200 people, including Park Il-jun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy; Yoon Kwan-seok, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Industry, Trade, Energy, Small and Medium Enterprises Committee; Han Mu-kyung, member of the People Power Party; Yang Hyang-ja, independent lawmaker; as well as various figures from different sectors, electrical industry workers, awardees, and their families.

At this year’s Electrical Safety Awards, a total of 30 awards were presented, including 14 government awards such as the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, and 8 commendations and certificates from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, to individuals and organizations who have contributed to the development of the electrical safety industry and safety management. Moon Hyung-won, Executive Director of Doosan Fuel Cell, received the highest honor, the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, for contributing to securing the safety of fuel cell power generation facilities by registering the country’s first ‘Fuel Cell Power Generation Facility Product Inspection Manufacturing Facility’ in the domestic industry.
