Foreigners' 'Palja' Leads KOSDAQ to Turn Down... KOSPI Returns Gains
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The KOSDAQ index turned downward due to foreign selling pressure.
As of 11:59 AM on the 2nd, the KOSDAQ index was recorded at 786.30, down 2.02 points (0.26%) from the previous day. The index started trading at 793.11, up 4.79 points (0.61%) earlier that day, but turned downward around 11:40 AM. Foreigners sold about 80 billion KRW worth, while individuals and institutions net bought approximately 72.6 billion KRW and 5.7 billion KRW, respectively.

The KOSPI index is also giving up its gains. At the same time, the KOSPI index recorded 2416.31, up 0.70 points (0.03%) from the previous trading day. It surpassed the 2430 mark during the session but then showed a downward trend. Foreigners and institutions net sold about 55.1 billion KRW and 58.1 billion KRW, respectively, while individuals net bought about 100 billion KRW.
