Incheon City Partners with Lotte Mart to Open Parking Lots to Citizens
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City announced on the 1st that it will open the parking lots attached to Lotte Mart to nearby residents and small business owners to alleviate downtown parking difficulties.
The city, through an agreement with Lotte Mart, has opened 168 parking spaces at the Yeongjongdo branch and 300 spaces at the Gyeyang branch to pre-registered residents and nearby merchants, and plans to open parking lots at four additional branches.
The specific opening schedule and number of spaces will be finalized through an implementation agreement between the responsible district office and the branches.
The city supports up to 20 million KRW for facility improvement costs when general building attached parking lots are opened to citizens. Currently, 51 places, including churches and large discount stores, are opening their parking lots with city support.

Additionally, in July, the city newly established a plan to expand the opening of attached parking lots. The parking lot opening subsidy was increased to a maximum of 30 million KRW, and the opening period was extended from 2 years to 3 years.
