Volvo Holds Special Nationwide 'Hey, Plogging' Campaign with Official Dealer Employees
From the Seoul Metropolitan Area to Busan, Daejeon, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeju Island, Events Held Nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Volvo Car Korea announced on the 31st that it conducted a nationwide special campaign called "Hey, Plogging," involving employees of Volvo Cars and its official dealerships.
"Plogging" is an eco-friendly trend that started in Sweden, and in Korea, Volvo Cars has been running the "Hey, Plogging" campaign since 2019. This year, a campaign for the general public was held in July, recording over 10,000 cumulative participants so far. The special campaign held in August saw more than 1,000 Volvo affiliates join from across the country, including the Seoul metropolitan area, Busan, Daejeon, and Jeju Island.
The campaign involved three official Volvo dealerships: Ivy Motors, Iron Motors, and H Motors. Notably, Iron Motors, located in Busan, conducted the plogging campaign at Gwangandaegyo Bridge, a representative tourist attraction and landmark of Busan, promoting plogging culture to vacationers. H Motors carried out plogging around showrooms and service centers in the Seoul metropolitan area and Daejeon, including nearby recreational forests, parks, and large facilities. Ivy Motors focused its activities on riversides and beaches in the Gwangju-Jeonnam and Jeju regions, areas with significant litter, striving to keep residents' precious resting places cleaner and safer. Thus, the special campaign was conducted nationwide.
