Vaccine 'Pill' Error Causes PC Freeze... East Security "Emergency Response"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Choi] The vaccine program 'Alyac' is mistakenly identifying legitimate programs as ransomware, causing errors. As some users' PCs have become unresponsive, ESTsecurity, the provider of Alyac, has initiated emergency measures.
On the 30th, ESTsecurity announced on its website, "An error in ransomware detection occurred in the publicly released version of Alyac (product) updated at 11:30 AM. We are currently conducting a precise cause analysis and emergency response."
The newly updated version of Alyac displayed a 'Ransomware Block Notification Message' to users. When users followed the prompts to block or take other actions, issues such as the Windows operating system becoming unresponsive or failing to reboot properly occurred.
