Seongbuk-gu and Seongbuk Cultural City Center Hold '2022 Seongbuk-gu Cultural City Administrative Council Meeting' Sharing Progress for 4th Legal Cultural City Designation, Seeking Cooperation & Promoting Various Projects for 'City of Life and Culture Circulation' to Win Legal Cultural City Contest
Seongbuk-gu and the Seongbuk Cultural City Center held the "2022 Seongbuk-gu Cultural City Administrative Council Meeting" to apply for designation as the 4th statutory cultural city. Around 20 people attended, including Deputy Mayor Shin Sang-cheol, heads of 17 departments of Seongbuk-gu Office, and Kang Seong-bong, director of the Seongbuk Cultural City Private Center.

At the meeting held on the 29th at Seongbuk-gu Office, about 20 people attended, including Deputy Mayor Sangcheol Shin, 17 department heads of Seongbuk-gu Office, and Kang Seongbong, director of the Seongbuk Cultural City Private Center. They shared the progress of the preliminary project for creating a cultural city in Seongbuk-gu and discussed points of connection and cooperation.
A Seongbuk-gu official stated, “This was an opportunity to share departmental project issues to secure the foundation for promoting a cultural city, which is an important item in the cultural city designation evaluation, and to confirm joint tasks between administration and the private sector, demonstrating Seongbuk-gu’s strong willingness to cooperate.”
Seongbuk-gu was selected as a preliminary project site for the 4th cultural city designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2021. To be selected as a statutory cultural city, it is promoting various preliminary cultural city projects under the slogan “City of Life and Culture Circulation.”
