Changes and Prospects of North Korea's Foreign and Inter-Korean Strategies in the Kim Jong-un Era
The Institute of Far Eastern Studies at Gyeongnam National University held a detailed session of the '2022 Korea Peninsula Global Peace Forum (KGFP)' hosted by the Ministry of Unification at the Millennium Hilton Seoul Junior Ballroom.

Under the main theme “Changes and Prospects of North Korea’s Foreign Strategy and Inter-Korean Strategy in the Kim Jong-un Era,” the KGFP Kyungnam University Institute of Far Eastern Affairs session was moderated by Director Lee Gwan-se.
At the Kyungnam University Institute of Far Eastern Affairs session, Professor Kim Dong-yeop of the University of North Korean Studies presented on “North Korea’s Foreign Strategy and Assessment and Prospects of the Korean Peninsula Military Situation,” Hirai Hisashi, invited research fellow at the Kyungnam University Institute of Far Eastern Affairs, spoke on “Evaluation and Prospects of the Kim Jong-un Regime’s Foreign Strategy: After the Hanoi Summit,” and Professor Im Eul-chul of the Kyungnam University Institute of Far Eastern Affairs gave a presentation on “The Kim Jong-un Regime’s Inter-Korean Strategy and Exploring the Possibility of Inter-Korean Exchange and Cooperation.”
Discussants included Peter Ward, invited research fellow at the Kyungnam University Institute of Far Eastern Affairs, Professor Jo Jin-gu of the Kyungnam University Institute of Far Eastern Affairs, and Professor Emeritus Kwon Young-kyung of the National Unification Education Institute.
