Discussion on Future Strategies with Samsung SDS and Samsung C&T Trading Division Executives respectively
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong continued his on-site communication activities for the third consecutive week by visiting the Samsung SDS Jamsil Campus on the 30th.
On the 30th, Vice Chairman Lee visited the Samsung SDS Jamsil Campus located in Sincheon-dong, Songpa-gu. This was his first visit to the Samsung SDS Jamsil Campus.
Vice Chairman Lee held a meeting with about 10 female employees balancing work and childcare, under the theme of 'Work-life balance for working moms.' The attendees freely shared various opinions on ▲recent interests and concerns of working moms ▲secrets to balancing family and work ▲changes in workplace and family life after COVID-19.
In August 2020, Vice Chairman Lee also held a meeting with working mom employees at the Samsung Electronics Suwon plant and called for institutional innovation. Samsung supports employees balancing childcare through personnel policies such as ▲full remote work for maternal protection personnel ▲expanded parental leave ▲maternity leave and infertility leave systems ▲reduced working hours during childcare periods.
A business circle official said, "Vice Chairman Lee is inheriting and developing the late Chairman Lee Kun-hee's philosophy of 'valuing women' through bold and proactive institutional innovation."
On-site, he also discussed mid- to long-term business strategies with management.
