Hotel Immersed in Art... InterContinental Hosts 'Art Week' Throughout September
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas is launching the ‘InterContinental Art Week,’ a package and promotion linked with various global art fairs such as Frieze, KIAF, and Start Art in early September.
According to InterContinental Parnas on the 30th, they will offer a room package including preview tickets to Frieze Seoul, held at COEX from October 2 to 5. The package is available until October 31. Especially, customers staying with the package by October 5 will receive two preview tickets to Frieze Seoul in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additionally, package users will be provided with two art cocktails and desserts at the lobby lounge and bar, as well as a breakfast buffet for two at Grand Kitchen.
There will also be art promotions at the restaurants. On the first floor boutique wine shop, an ‘Art Wine Week’ exhibition will be held from October 1 to 18, coinciding with the art fair period. The official champagne of the art fair, Ruinart Champagne, will be sold specially, and wines born from collaborations with artists will be available. These include the ‘Penley Estate 5 types’ featuring works by Helena Perez Garcia, an illustrator from London, UK; the 2013 vintage of ‘Ch?teau Mouton Rothschild,’ whose label has been designed annually by famous artists since 1973, featuring artist Lee Ufan; and ‘Veuve Clicquot,’ with a label inspired by artist Yayoi Kusama.
At Grand Deli, a special art cake ‘Flower of Life,’ inspired by the works of modern art master Kim Byungjong, will be sold until the end of September. At the first-floor lobby lounge and bar, five types of art cocktails inspired by world-famous paintings can be enjoyed.
