GS Retail Joins Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Donghaeng Festival... Holds Discount Event
GS Retail will participate in the 7-day Donghaeng Festival to promote consumer spending.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] GS Retail announced on the 30th that it will participate in the 7-day Donghaeng Festival held from the 1st to the 7th of next month, offering discounts of up to 50% and other promotions.
First, convenience store GS25 will hold a ‘1+1’ event and beverage giveaways on a total of 42 products including ready meals, ice cream, and chicken. This includes refrigerated and frozen ready meals such as Simply Cook Chicken Steak, Yours Great Cheese Sausage, and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and will run for 12 days until the 12th of next month. Customers who purchase chicken products will receive a free beverage, and this promotion lasts until the 15th of next month.
GS The Fresh, a supermarket, will offer discounts on over 500 items including Chuseok ritual food and daily necessities. In particular, GS Membership and GS Pay customers will receive an additional 20% discount on agricultural, livestock, and marine products, and all Breadique bread products will be discounted by 30%. The promotion period is until the 6th of next month.
GS Shop will also schedule free sales broadcasts. Until the 7th of next month, during the event period, four products including Easy Drop toilet cleaner and Seoil Farm Cheonggukjang will be broadcast for free to open sales channels for small and medium-sized enterprises. Additionally, the Donghaeng Festival store will open on the GS Shop internet mall.
Furthermore, GS Retail will hold an event on Naver Store offering a 50% discount on 21 Yours brand private label (PB) products. The promotional items include essential daily products such as bottled water, toilet paper, household goods, kitchen supplies, and ramen. The event period is until the 7th of next month. GS Retail decided to extend the event period itself, viewing the 7-day Donghaeng Festival as a way to stimulate consumption.
