Maximum 100% Reduction in Cadastral Survey Fees for Heavy Rain Damage Recovery in Special Disaster Areas Including Seongnam-si
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province has decided to reduce land surveying fees by up to 100% for damage recovery cost estimation in areas affected by heavy rain. Previously, Gyeonggi Province proposed a reduction in cadastral surveying fees to the government.
According to Gyeonggi Province on the 30th, to alleviate the economic burden on residents of areas declared special disaster zones and to facilitate prompt damage recovery, the province requested the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the superior authority of the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX), which performs cadastral surveying, to reduce cadastral surveying fees, and successfully obtained approval for the reduction.
The reduction applies to four areas declared special disaster zones on the 22nd: Seongnam City, Gwangju City, Yangpyeong County, and Geumsa-myeon and Sanbuk-myeon in Yeoju City, as well as any additional areas declared special disaster zones.
Cadastral surveying fees can be reduced for two years from the date of declaration as a special disaster zone.
The reduction rate varies depending on the situation: if a residential house is completely destroyed or lost, the full cadastral surveying fee is waived; for recovery of other damages such as commercial buildings, commercial or agricultural use, 50% of the cadastral surveying fee is waived.
To receive the cadastral surveying fee reduction benefit, applicants must obtain a damage confirmation certificate detailing the damage caused by the heavy rain from the mayor, county governor, or district head of their location and submit it when applying for cadastral surveying.
Residents wishing to apply for cadastral surveying can visit the cadastral surveying reception desk set up at the civil service offices of the city, county, or district where the land is located, or use the phone (Direct Processing Call Center, 1588-7704) and the Cadastral Surveying Direct Processing Center website.
