Daejeon~Sejong Metropolitan Bus, Free Transfer Routes Expanded from 7 to 13
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The number of free transfer routes for metropolitan city buses running between Daejeon and Sejong will be expanded from the current 7 to 13.
Daejeon City announced on the 29th that starting from the 1st of next month, it will expand the free transfer routes for metropolitan buses on this section. The newly added free transfer routes include Daejeon routes 72 and 75, and Sejong routes 69, 300, 661, and 691.
Including the existing 7 routes eligible for free transfers?Daejeon B1 and 1002, and Sejong B2, 655, 1000, 1004, and 1005?this will effectively integrate the city buses between Daejeon and Sejong, and both cities expect this to revitalize public transportation between the two cities.
However, to receive the free transfer benefit, passengers must use a transportation card and must check the card on the exit terminal when getting off.
Also, similar to free transfers on regular city buses, only one person per transportation card can transfer for free, and transfers on the same route are not eligible for the free benefit.

Im Jae-jin, Director of the Transportation and Construction Bureau, said, "The expansion of free transfers for city buses between Daejeon and Sejong is implemented to reduce transportation costs for citizens using city buses in both areas and to establish a metropolitan public transportation system." He added, "The city will continue to strive to improve the convenience of public transportation for citizens using metropolitan routes between Daejeon and Sejong.”
