"Yang Junhyuk Baseball Foundation" and Baseball Camp Held
One-Point Lessons by Former Pro Players Yang Junhyuk, Ma Haeyoung, and Others
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Facilities Corporation announced on the 26th that it will hold a baseball camp for elementary school baseball hopefuls at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu on the 27th.
This event, jointly organized by the Seoul Facilities Corporation and the Yang Jun-hyuk Baseball Foundation, was prepared to support the dreams of youth baseball players. About 50 elementary school students belonging to youth baseball teams located in Guro-gu will participate.
The baseball camp will start at 9 a.m. on the 27th with stretching, followed by one-point lessons from four former famous professional baseball players including Yang Jun-hyuk and Ma Hae-young. The program includes various catch ball practices using base running, throwing, wrists, and upper body, outfield and infield defense training, practical lessons on batting and correcting batting forms, as well as base sprinting and relay running games.
After the lessons, there will be a Q&A session related to baseball and a mini autograph session, allowing communication with baseball legend players. The four-hour camp concludes with resolving baseball concerns or curiosities and a tour of the Gocheok Sky Dome facilities, including the bullpen, dugout, and locker rooms.
Since early this year, the corporation has been making efforts to improve convenience for users by creating family-themed seats in the Gocheok Sky Dome stands and setting up a children's playground. In addition, leveraging the baseball camp operation, they plan to continue efforts to increase open content unique to Gocheok Sky Dome to approach citizens.
