View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] LG Display is participating in ‘IMID 2022,’ held at BEXCO in Busan until the 26th, presenting over 10 outstanding papers related to the evolution of large OLED technology and manufacturing technology innovation through artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning.
On the 24th, LG Display announced that it will reveal research results on the 'EX Technology' applied to the next-generation OLED TV panels launched this year at IMID 2022. The next-generation TV panels, which apply ‘EX Technology’ composed of ‘heavy hydrogen technology’ and ‘personalized algorithms’ to organic light-emitting devices, increase screen brightness (luminance) by 30% compared to existing panels, express natural colors more precisely, and realize perfect black in any environment.
Many research results utilizing AI and deep learning technologies in the manufacturing process to improve display performance, shorten circuit design time, and increase production efficiency will also be introduced. Additionally, a new sound measurement method to evaluate TV audio quality will be proposed. This is in response to the growing demand for high-quality sound from consumers due to the recent increase in home cinema and gaming populations, necessitating a measurement method that can objectively quantify audio quality considering the actual viewing environment of customers.
