Democratic Party Lawmaker's Senior Secretary Causes Disturbance While Drunk... Police Arrest Red-Handed
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A secretary to a sitting member of the National Assembly was arrested by the police for causing a disturbance at a restaurant while intoxicated.
On the 23rd, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested and were investigating Mr. A, a senior secretary to a current member of the National Assembly affiliated with the Democratic Party of Korea, on charges of obstruction of business.
Mr. A is accused of causing a disturbance around 11:05 p.m. the previous day at a bar near Yeouido in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, by throwing his glasses and removing his clothes. He is also charged with obstructing business for about 30 minutes by pounding the table with his fist and vomiting.
At the time, Mr. A reportedly entered the bar heavily intoxicated.

A police official stated, "We have received the case and are investigating," adding, "We plan to secure closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and conduct witness interviews in the future."
