Yongin City Supports 'Jeonse Loan Interest' for Multi-Child Families Without Homes
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will support the interest on jeonse loan funds for multi-child families without housing.
Yongin City announced on the 23rd that it will implement the "Multi-child Family Jeonse Loan Interest Support Project" for the first time this year to reduce the housing cost burden on multi-child families and support a stable life, and will recruit 150 households.
Applications are open to citizens with multi-child families having two or more children under the age of 18 in the same household and whose income is below 180% of the median income standard.
The city will support 1% of the jeonse loan interest up to a limit of 1 million KRW for residential houses located in Yongin City that have received housing jeonse loans from financial institutions.
Applications can be submitted in person at each eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare center from the 1st to the 20th of next month.
The city will review eligibility based on income and housing by October, select the final recipients in November, and provide the support funds to individual accounts.

A city official said, "We have prepared the jeonse loan interest support project to help multi-child families' household finances even a little," adding, "We will implement customized policies essential to citizens' lives to make Yongin City a great place to raise children."
