Chosun University of Science and Technology - Kia AutoLand Gwangju Join Hands to Create Industry-Academia Jobs
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun Institute of Technology and Kia Corporation AutoLand Gwangju have joined hands to resolve job mismatches in the automotive-related fields.
Chosun Institute of Technology (President Jo Soon-gye) announced on the 22nd that it signed a "Industry-Academia Job Creation Cooperation Agreement" with Kia Corporation AutoLand.
The signing ceremony was attended by about 10 officials, including President Jo Soon-gye of Chosun Institute of Technology, Park Chi-yong, Director of Gwangju Management Support Office, and Lee Chang-jun, Head of the HR Team.
The agreement was established to foster excellent professional talent based on mutual employment infrastructure and human resources between Chosun Institute of Technology and Kia Corporation AutoLand Gwangju, to resolve job mismatches, and to sustain industry-academia cooperation.
The agreement includes ▲ industry-academia linked talent development (curriculum development, field training, internships, etc.) ▲ creation and development of industry-academia cooperation value ▲ human and material exchanges for mutual development ▲ support for recruitment briefings and sharing of employment information during new hires ▲ preferential hiring for students who have completed industry-academia internships.
President Jo Soon-gye said, “Based on today’s industry-academia cooperation with Kia Corporation AutoLand Gwangju, we will spare no support for nurturing engineering leaders in various fields such as the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Future Automotive Studies, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Mechanical Design, and Department of Automation Systems at our university,” adding, “I hope this agreement will contribute not only to fostering specialized talent in the automotive field and nurturing the domestic automotive industry but also to alleviating employment difficulties for local youth.”
