Missing Person from Buyeo Heavy Rain Found Dead by Geumgang River 45km Away
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] A missing person, A, who was swept away by a rapid current during the heavy rain in Buyeo, Chungnam, was found dead after six days.
On the 20th, 119 rescue workers from the Chungnam Fire Headquarters recovered a body around 10 a.m. along the Geum River in Mangseong-myeon, Iksan-si, Jeonbuk, 44.9 km away from the missing location of A during the search operation.
The police and fire authorities confirmed through fingerprint analysis that the fingerprints matched those of A, the missing person in Buyeo.
A went missing on the 14th around 1:44 a.m. when a 1-ton truck carrying him and a man in his 50s was swept away by the rapid current in Naryeong-ri, Eunsan-myeon, Buyeo-gun.
