Unique Domestic Travel Opportunities, 'Abundant' Online
Tmon Launches 'Tmon Tour Original'
Yanolja's 'Nationwide Tour Project Season 2' for Community Coexistence
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] As more travelers prefer fresh and unique experiences over standardized or predictable travel itineraries, online platforms are proactively expanding unique experience products that reflect this trend.
Tmon has partnered with six travel-specialized startups to launch a unique travel product called 'Tmon Tour Original.' A representative product is the 'Gangneung Anbandegi Starry Night Tour,' launched in collaboration with Gangwon Province specialist travel agency Nabinetworks. A Tmon-exclusive shuttle bus provides comfortable round-trip transportation from Gangneung to Anbandegi. The Gangwon tourism product 'Naesan(San) Naesup' includes a one-night stay and three experience programs such as plogging (picking up trash + jogging). As a travel product for the Gangwon region affected by wildfires last March, the sales proceeds will be used to plant trees in the damaged areas.
At Tmon, 'Chonkangseu' (rural + vacation), which has rapidly risen as a unique travel trend among the MZ generation, is also available. The 'Sigol Tour Gyeongbuk Yeongcheon Edition,' in collaboration with the local tour platform Sigol Tour and Gyeongsangbuk-do Culture and Tourism Organization, is on sale. Options can be selected based on desired experiences such as hanok (traditional Korean house), healing, and horseback riding. After participating in the 'Zero Waste Challenge' to reduce trash during the trip and posting verification on personal SNS with mandatory hashtags, travelers can receive up to 50% payback on travel fees.
Yanolja is conducting the 'Nationwide Tour Project Season 2' for coexistence with local communities. The Nationwide Tour is a public-private cooperation project with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, designed to support a local creator ecosystem that creates social value by utilizing regional infrastructure. It is a regional culture-specialized travel program to experience products and services of local creators in major cities nationwide. The highest competition rate in Season 1 was 407 to 1.
