Kwangdong Pharmaceutical Supports 20,000 Bottles of Tea Beverage as Drinking Water Substitute in Heavy Rainfall-Affected Areas
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Kwangdong Pharmaceutical announced on the 16th that it will urgently provide more than 20,000 bottles of food and beverages to disaster victims affected by the heavy rains.
Kwangdong Pharmaceutical urgently prepared corn silk tea and Hovenia dulcis tea, which can be used as drinking water by the disaster victims, and delivered them to food banks nationwide to be provided as relief supplies.
In addition to this emergency support, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical is also considering additional support for areas and disaster victims in need of drinking water.
A Kwangdong Pharmaceutical official said, "This was prepared to provide a substitute for drinking water that residents devastated by the national disaster-level flood can safely drink," adding, "We hope it will help everyone return to their daily lives as soon as possible, even if only a little."

In March, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical supported more than 50,000 over-the-counter medicines and food and beverages for disaster victims of wildfires in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions, and in 2020, it also urgently provided more than 20,000 bottles of tea beverages such as corn silk tea to flood victims suffering from drinking water shortages due to the monsoon rains.
