The International Logistics Association Busan World Congress Organizing Committee and Dongmyung University officials are signing an agreement and taking a group commemorative photo.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Organizing Committee of the 2022 International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) Busan World Congress and Dongmyung University signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in training professionals in shipping, aviation, logistics, and business on the 9th at Room 307, Business Administration Building, Dongmyung University Headquarters.
Through this agreement, the institutions will enhance cooperation projects including ▲training professionals in shipping, aviation, logistics, and business fields ▲exchange of human resources knowledge and information, research, and policy development ▲providing opportunities for company visits, field training internships, and employment for enrolled students.
At the signing ceremony, FIATA attendees included Organizing Committee Chairman Kim Byung-jin, Vice Chairman Son Young-chul, Secretary General Kang Kyung-won, and Secretariat Headquarters Director Gong Hyun-mi.
From Dongmyung University, President Jeon Ho-hwan, Education Department President Cho Seung-gu, Vice President of External Cooperation Lee Jun-ha, Director of Planning Kang Young-min, Director of Industry-Academia Cooperation Kim Jeong-in, and Secretary General Woo Jong-gyun were present.
Organizing Committee Chairman Kim Byung-jin said, “At the FIATA Busan World Congress in September, global logistics companies will engage in discussions, business networking, B2B consultations, and next-generation future logistics leader programs,” adding, “We expect active participation from the distinguished faculty and students of Dongmyung University in the logistics and business fields.”
The 2022 FIATA Busan World Congress will be held for the first time in three years since the 2019 Cape Town Congress in South Africa due to COVID-19.
The event is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 16 at BEXCO and other venues.

The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), founded in 1924 in Zurich, Switzerland, is the world's largest logistics organization with over 40,000 logistics companies from 145 countries as members, having held 58 world congresses from 1926 through 2019.
