KT Partners with Turkey's Top Telecom Company for Content and Private 5G Collaboration

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] KT announced on the 7th that it has signed a strategic partnership cooperation agreement (MOU) with Turk Telekom, the No. 1 telecommunications company in Turkey (T?rkiye).
First, Turk Telekom will introduce a 'Korea Pavilion' on its Internet TV (IPTV) and online video service (OTT). KT will supply K-content for this and continue content exchange, production, and investment with Turk Telekom.
The two companies will develop a private 5G platform tailored to the local environment and promote joint business ahead of the commercialization of 5G services in T?rkiye next year. Furthermore, Turk Telekom plans to invest in KT group companies and collaborate with KT to discover and invest in new startups.
Omit Onal, CEO of Turk Telekom, said, "We are beginning a long journey together with KT, the world's leading tech company," adding, "I believe this cooperation will be very successful."

Yoon Kyung-rim, Head of KT Group Transformation Division (President), said, "Based on the strategic partnership between Korea and T?rkiye, we will strive to ensure that the cooperation between the two companies bears fruit."
