On the 3rd, an aircraft presumed to be a Chinese military drone reportedly flew over Kinmen (Jinmen) Island, a Taiwan-administered area close to China.
According to major foreign media, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense announced on the night of the 3rd that an aircraft presumed to be a drone flew over Kinmen. The timing was reportedly a few hours after Speaker Pelosi completed her visit to Taiwan and departed for South Korea. On the same day, Taiwan's Army Kinmen Defense Command also stated that upon detecting an unidentified aircraft flying over Kinmen, it issued a warning according to regulations and forced it to leave.
In this regard, Chinese media, citing Taiwanese media, reported that a drone of the Chinese People's Liberation Army passed over Kinmen. It is said to be the first time a Chinese military drone appeared over Kinmen. Previously, on the 28th of last month, a Chinese military drone flew over the Matsu Islands, a Taiwan-administered area close to Fujian Province, China.

Kinmen is located in the Taiwan Strait and is very close to Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China. However, even after the end of the Chinese Civil War in 1949, it has remained under Taiwan's effective control and serves as a frontline area for Taiwan's security.
