Starting This Month Centered on Yeonsu-gu, Incheon
Collaboration with Startup 'VtoV' in Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Demonstration Project
Securing Competitive Edge with Differentiated 'Early Morning + Same Day' Delivery Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] NS Home Shopping is introducing same-day delivery service following its dawn delivery service.
NS Home Shopping announced on the 4th that it will start the urban same-day delivery courier service "Today Service" centered around Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, from this month.
Today Service is a same-day delivery solution developed by the startup "V2V," allowing customers to receive products at the same price as regular courier service within a few hours after placing an order and payment.
Selected as a digital logistics demonstration project led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, this service utilizes small urban spaces as "item depots," enabling transfer of goods from vehicle to vehicle without a logistics warehouse.
By having vehicles share the loading and sorting functions traditionally performed by warehouses, the service delivers through organic vehicle-to-vehicle operation and item transfer without a warehouse.
NS Home Shopping plans to start the service first for delivery products from the Icheon logistics center in collaboration with V2V, and later expand the product range to include partner companies' own delivery products in the metropolitan area. The service area will also be gradually expanded from Incheon to southern and northern parts of Seoul.
Following the dawn delivery service, NS Home Shopping aims to secure differentiated delivery service competitiveness in the mobile commerce market by being the first in the home shopping industry to introduce the same-day delivery Today Service.
