Park Ilha, Dongjak-gu Mayor, Personally Meets All Civil Petitioners
[Seoul District News] Park Ilha, Dongjak-gu Mayor, Immediately Visits Site to Devise Measures & Enhances Resident Communication Quality Swiftly and Actively
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] In Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Ilha), an active communication channel has been opened where any resident can meet the mayor, and on-site administrative visits are being actively conducted.
The district announced on the 4th that it has drastically restructured the civil complaint response process so that residents can directly convey their grievances and suggestions to the mayor without any intermediate procedures.
The Jikso Civil Complaint Office, which used to handle grievance complaints exclusively and actually blocked face-to-face meetings with the mayor, has been boldly abolished, and civil complaint duties have been transferred to the mayor’s secretariat.
The quality of communication is greatly enhanced with the goal of prompt and proactive handling of civil complaints by having the mayor directly meet with residents who wish to convey their opinions.
Thereafter, if on-site verification is necessary, immediate visits are made for corrective actions; for issues that cannot be resolved locally, swift discussions with the responsible departments are conducted to find the optimal solution.
Going forward, the district plans to continuously listen to various resident opinions, carefully attend to even the smallest voices, and minimize resident inconvenience by focusing on follow-up management after resolving grievances.
Additionally, Mayor Park is directly reviewing various complaints received through platforms such as "I Wish for the Mayor," demonstrating careful attention to residents’ demands.
