Kyungbok University announced on the 1st that it established the Big Data Department in response to the need to cultivate professionals leading the era of big data, a core technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The Big Data Department's curriculum focuses on developing abilities such as ▲collecting and processing various data from sources like SNS and corporate information systems ▲analyzing collected data using various artificial intelligence technologies including machine learning ▲visualizing analyzed results to provide information.

A Kyungbok University official explained, "We plan to operate educational programs so that students in the Big Data Department can acquire two nationally certified qualifications and two overseas qualifications," adding, "We have been designated as a department for outstanding foreign students invited by the Korean government, allowing the top 1% of overseas students to enroll and study together."
