[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province has resumed operation of the temporary screening clinic at Yatap Station Plaza in Bundang-gu starting from the 1st, after a three-month suspension due to the resurgence of COVID-19.
The clinic operates on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, it is closed from noon to 2 p.m. for disinfection and staff breaks. On weekends and public holidays, it operates from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The testing targets are priority groups for PCR (polymerase chain reaction) testing, including seniors aged 60 and over, individuals with epidemiological links, those who tested positive on rapid antigen tests, and overseas entrants.
Citizens seeking testing must bring identification, a doctor's note, a notification message from the public health center, or proof such as a positive self-diagnosis kit.
PCR testing is also available at screening clinics located in the Sujeong, Jungwon, and Bundang-gu public health centers.
The clinics operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
Previously, Seongnam City operated the temporary screening clinic at Yatap Station Plaza in Bundang-gu from December 15, 2020. Until April 30, it conducted 430,523 PCR tests before suspending operations as the number of new confirmed cases dropped to the 300s.
However, due to the recent increase in daily confirmed cases in Seongnam to around 1,500 over the past week, the clinic has resumed operations.
