Gyeonggi Fire Department Urgently Inspects 'Illegal Filming Cameras' at 24 Stations
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters will conduct an 'Illegal Camera On-site Inspection' throughout August at all fire stations in the province to prevent digital sexual crimes in the workplace.
During this period, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters will form two teams of two members each to inspect waiting rooms, restrooms, and changing rooms in 24 fire stations under its jurisdiction using electromagnetic wave detectors and infrared detectors to check for the installation of illegal cameras.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters will strictly punish any violations found, including referring the responsible parties to the police for investigation.
After this inspection, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters plans to guide each fire station to conduct regular inspections under the supervision of the responsible manager.

Nam Hwa-young, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, explained, "Due to the recent increase in sexual crimes caused by illegal filming in the workplace, we decided to carry out on-site inspections at all fire stations."
