Strengthening Synergy with KT Group... Launch of Telecom Discount Specialized Card Following K-Bank SIMPLE Card
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] BC Card announced on the 31st that it has partnered with KT to launch two specialized discount cards for KT wired and wireless communication fees (including internet and IPTV): the KT Super Card and the KT Super Plus Card.
This product was designed to allow customers to set their own communication fee discount amount based on their card usage. Additionally, it offers an annual fee up to 5,000 KRW cheaper compared to competing partner cards and reduces cost burden with a 100% cashback on the first year's annual fee for new subscribers.
First, the KT Super Card provides a discount of up to 26,000 KRW per month on communication fees for 24 months. To receive this discount, customers must select the 'BC Baro 5G Choice Plan.' The Choice Plan consists of Premium, Special, and Basic options, offering unlimited 5G data and roaming, along with access to services like Season, Genie, and Millie's Library. Other general plans outside the Choice Plan can also receive discounts up to 20,000 KRW. Benefits apply starting from a previous month's spending of 300,000 KRW or 700,000 KRW, with discount amounts varying by tier. The annual fee is 25,000 KRW domestically and 27,000 KRW for overseas (Visa).
The KT Super Plus Card offers a maximum monthly discount of 35,000 KRW. With an annual benefit of 420,000 KRW, customers can save a total of approximately 840,000 KRW on communication fees over two years. Like the KT Super Card, the maximum discount is available when selecting the BC Baro 5G Choice Plan, with benefits applied in tiers based on previous month spending of 500,000 KRW and 1,000,000 KRW. The annual fee is 15,000 KRW domestically and 17,000 KRW for overseas (Visa).
Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of these cards, BC Card is also offering up to 24 months of interest-free installment plans for customers purchasing the latest devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 (scheduled for release in August) at KT online and offline stores. The two KT Super Cards can be applied for starting from the 1st of the following month via BC Card's lifestyle finance platform 'Paybook.'
