"Enjoy Vacation While Exercising" Hotels Introducing Sportcation Trends
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] As interest in health management has increased due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the hotel industry has introduced so-called ‘sportscation’ packages that allow guests to spend their summer vacations exercising at hotels.
According to the industry on the 30th, The Westin Chosun Seoul’s Lescape Hotel installed the golf practice device Heradiya on the 8th-floor fitness center to enable guests to enjoy a ‘Golf-cation.’ They also introduced the ‘Be Health Be Safe’ package, which allows exclusive use of the fitness space for up to 90 minutes. The fitness area, equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, can be used privately by up to two people without any disturbances.
InterContinental Seoul COEX launched the ‘Art Golf Package with Castelbajac,’ a room package that allows guests to enjoy a golf hotel vacation in collaboration with the French origin golf wear brand Castelbajac. Guests can stay in rooms styled like the Castelbajac showroom, experience mini golf using a screen golf home simulator, and receive one-on-one point lessons at the hotel’s indoor golf course.
