[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, on the 28th, extensively promoted Hapcheon Hwangmaesan’s ‘Azaleas and Silver Grass (Hwangmaesan Tourist Rest Area)’ in the July issue of KOREA published by the Overseas Cultural Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The monthly KOREA is the Korean government’s representative promotional publication, introducing various cultures such as buildings, people, food, and music, and is displayed at diplomatic missions in 169 countries worldwide.
In this July issue, the selected Azaleas and Silver Grass are introduced under the theme ‘Rethinking the Tourist Rest Area,’ showcasing the tourist rest area of Hwangmaesan, a representative tourist destination in Korea, flaunting the beauty of the building to people around the world.
Researcher Park Sang-yong, who has been involved since the beginning of the construction, said, “The excellent natural scenery of azaleas and silver grass on the Hwangma plain and the harmony with the architecture that does not go against it, especially the active cooperation and participation of local governments and residents, created a public space that contributes to the local community.”
