Changwon Special City Confirms Jo Myeong-rae as Second Deputy Mayor
Announcement of Final Successful Candidates for Open Positions on the 28th

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam plans to appoint the successful candidates for the three open positions of Second Vice Mayor, Auditor, and Seoul Office Director, which have been vacant, effective August 1.
In this recruitment that began on the 1st, three candidates applied for each of the Second Vice Mayor and Auditor positions, and four candidates applied for the Seoul Office Director position. After interviews and other evaluations on the 25th, the final successful candidates were selected.
The Second Vice Mayor appointee, former Dongshin University professor Jo Myeong-rae, stands out for holding doctoral degrees in both Korean Medicine and Law. He has served as a policy advisor at the National Assembly Research Service and acted as the vice chairman of the Changwon Special City Transition Committee for the 8th elected administration.
The Auditor appointee, Shin Byeong-cheol, is a current public official serving as a Grade 4 Secretary at the Ministry of Science and ICT’s Audit Division. With extensive experience in policy audits and anti-corruption work, he is expected to enhance objectivity and expertise in the city’s audit sector.
The Seoul Office Director appointee, Heo Dong-hyeok, who worked for over 17 years as an aide and secretary to members of the National Assembly, is recognized for his strong personal network in education and science and technology fields and is evaluated as a person capable of establishing broad cooperative systems between the city, central government ministries, and related organizations.

A city official stated, “We have appointed qualified candidates to positions requiring expertise to strengthen competitiveness in the 8th elected administration,” adding, “Please look forward to the city administration’s transformation to achieve the goal of ‘Changwon, the Northeast Asia Central City’ through open position recruitment.”
