According to Kolon on the 26th, this campaign started on the 20th of this month at the Kolon Industry FnC Division building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and will be sequentially held at eight business sites nationwide, including Gwacheon, Magok, Gumi, and Daejeon, until the 29th. Kolon stated that all blood donation locations strictly adhere to personal quarantine rules such as wearing masks and hand sanitization to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
This blood donation campaign is being conducted for the first time this year in cooperation with the local community to overcome the social issue of blood supply shortages together with local residents. Kolon signed an agreement with the Gwacheon City Comprehensive Volunteer Center in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, where its headquarters is located, and on the 25th and 26th, anyone can visit Kolon Tower to donate blood. The blood donation campaign with the local community will gradually expand to other regions in the future.
Since 2013, Kolon has held blood donation campaigns at major business sites nationwide during the summer and winter seasons when blood supply is unstable. Especially this year, due to renewed concerns about the resurgence of COVID-19 and a sharp increase in vacationers, the number of people donating blood nationwide has significantly decreased, causing difficulties in blood supply.
