[Seoul District News] 570,000 Gangseo Residents Wishing for Change Express Their Hopes and Announce 5 New District Administration Goals to Lead Transformation
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The 570,000 residents of Gangseo-gu most hoped for "change" from the new Gangseo District Mayor.
Seoul's Gangseo-gu (Mayor Kim Tae-woo) announced that it has finalized the slogan for the newly launched 8th term of the local government as "Future Made by Change, Gangseo Soaring with Residents."
"Future Made by Change, Gangseo Soaring with Residents" reflects Mayor Kim Tae-woo's determination to radically transform Gangseo together with its residents and create future changes for Gangseo.
In particular, Mayor Kim personally met many residents on the ground for this slogan, explaining that "change," the keyword most frequently mentioned during those meetings, was incorporated.
Along with this, the district also announced five specific local government goals to realize the new changes.
The local government goals are ▲ a high-quality balanced city revitalizing the old downtown ▲ Gangseo as a great place to raise children ▲ companionship with socially vulnerable groups ▲ Gangseo overflowing with culture and arts ▲ a safe environmental city coexisting with nature, which aligns with the five core pledges promised by Mayor Kim.
The district plans to develop a BI (Brand Identity) design symbolizing the slogan and local government goals, which will be used in various ways to promote Gangseo-gu.
Mayor Kim Tae-woo said, "For all 570,000 residents, the owners of Gangseo-gu, to be happy and to make Gangseo a better place to live in the future, everything must be newly changed. The wishes of the 570,000 residents who desire change have brought me to this position, so I will always look only at the residents and create a happy future for Gangseo-gu."
