Pyeongtaek Port Authority Provides Certification Training for Pyeongtaek Port Workers
[Asia Economy (Pyeongtaek) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority is recruiting free trainees for professional qualification acquisition targeted at Pyeongtaek Port workers to enhance workers' expertise and capabilities, create jobs, and revitalize the local economy.
Since 2020, the professional qualification acquisition training for Pyeongtaek Port workers has been operating four professional certification courses: Logistics Manager, Distribution Manager, Trade English, and International Trade Specialist to strengthen workers' expertise.
The training will be conducted online in a non-face-to-face format for four months from August 1 to November 30 due to the impact of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. The training fee is completely free.
The number of recruits is 50, and the maximum number of applicants per company is 5. Each applicant can choose and apply for one subject.
Eligibility is open to anyone working at companies related to Pyeongtaek Port.

Meanwhile, the Pyeongtaek Port Authority will operate the '2022 Gyeonggi-do Shipping and Logistics Youth Employment Academy' basic course from August for young people aspiring to work in the shipping and logistics industry. An advanced course will be recruited later.
