Daegu City has become the first local government in the country to start promoting the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Integrated New Airport by wrapping an aircraft fuselage.
They utilized the aircraft as a promotional tool through wrapping on the in-flight tray tables and window media.
On the 24th, a B737 aircraft of T'way Air Co., Ltd., wrapped with promotional graphics for the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Integrated New Airport on its fuselage, arrived at Daegu Airport after departing from Da Nang, Vietnam.
This aircraft underwent heavy maintenance and wrapping work at a Mongolian airport in early July, and upon arrival at Daegu Airport, it will be deployed on various routes originating from Daegu, including the Daegu-Jeju route.
The aircraft fuselage wrapping advertisement is the first attempt by a local government nationwide, jointly undertaken by Daegu City and T'way Air. Using Daedalsu (Soodal), Daegu City's otter character, the aircraft's exterior double-sided fuselage wrapping, in-flight tray table wrapping, and window media wrapping promote the new airport construction project and Daegu's tourist attractions. There are two aircraft serving as promoters: one with both exterior and interior wrapping, and one with interior wrapping only.
The aircraft fuselage wrapping is expected to serve as a large billboard in the sky, informing domestic and international audiences about Daegu City and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Integrated New Airport construction project.
They plan to encourage passengers using the airport and aircraft to create SNS content, generating considerable advertising effects. Additionally, starting in August, Daegu City will conduct events linked to the fuselage wrapping advertisement through its official SNS channels in cooperation with T'way Air.
