Ulsan City Launches Summer Food Campaign... Promoting Restaurant Hygiene Rating System and Sodium Reduction

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City will conduct promotional activities for the ‘Restaurant Hygiene Rating System and Sodium Reduction Practice’ from July 25 to August 24 at Ulsan Station and the busy streets of Jung-gu and Nam-gu during the peak vacation season.
The campaign will be carried out through methods such as broadcasting promotional videos on electronic billboards inside Ulsan Station and attaching promotional banners to street lights.
The promotional messages include ▲ “Visit clean and hygienic restaurants certified by the government with confidence!” and ▲ “Try reducing sodium starting today by eating less salty for just one week!”
As of July, there are about 600 restaurants in Ulsan certified under the restaurant hygiene rating system, and the campaign emphasizes using these certified establishments and practicing sodium reduction.

An official from Ulsan City stated, “We hope for participation and use of the restaurant hygiene rating system to expand in order to improve hygiene levels and prevent food poisoning in Ulsan,” and added, “We ask everyone to make efforts to prevent chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes through healthy meals with reduced sodium.”
