High Vision System, Full-Scale Entry into Secondary Battery Equipment Business
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Hi-Vision System, a specialist company in smartphone camera module inspection equipment, announced on the 20th that it will officially enter the secondary battery equipment business.
Hi-Vision System has signed a supply contract for assembly and inspection automation line equipment related to Sebang Lithium Battery and P-LBM (Parking Lithium Battery Module). The supply scale is 1.73 billion KRW, and the supply deadline is November 30.
P-LBM is an auxiliary battery system that supports the operation of electronic devices such as black boxes and airbags when parking internal combustion engine vehicles. It is a battery pack using 21700 cylindrical cell lithium-ion batteries produced by a major domestic company.
The production line consists of a total of three lines: module assembly, BMS (Battery Management System) assembly, and pack assembly.
Choi Doowon, CEO of Hi-Vision System, said, “We launched a separate secondary battery TF team earlier this year to start full-scale development and sales activities, and we have already begun supplying vision equipment for secondary battery cell inspection to a major domestic company,” adding, “This supply contract will be a cornerstone for the commercialization of the secondary battery mass production line business.”
